You plug all your sources into it and then when you want to choose one you push a button on the selector and there it is! The only draw back for us who remote everything is that this is a manual selector. That means you have to get up to switch it $\:sad$ That is the cheapest way I know to do this. USA	I will have to do some checking...but ...the technician that hooked up my Hope/3ABN dish did it in such a way that DISH Network is in default position. If I shut it off with the DISH system remote then I can use the Hope/3ABN remote. It is super simple ..Just a case of turning one off and the other on.Regards, Don
