My son found this girl in a village so remote that in the rainy season you can only reach it by helicopter.

In his work he travels to places like this (Belleh Kalata) to help provide aid. This place is so isolated that it was left out of much of the develop aid given to Liberia.

He loves taking pictures of African children

That picture reminds me of a song that goes something like...

"I wonder as I wander all through my fathers house"

I don't remember it, Amelia.

This picture.... I wonder if the scenery in this fellow's mind compares to the scenery of which he seems oblivious.

It is in London, on the edge of Hyde Park.

Here is a funding site:
http://www.fund4horses.org/info.php?id=348

and here is a 'really-really-good' BBC article with more information about the unveiling in Nov., 2004:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4037873.stm

"It honours all animals used in war, including horses, dogs, dolphins, elephants, pigeons and even glow worms."....

The inscription reads: "Animals In War. This monument is dedicated to all the animals that served and died alongside British and allied forces in wars and campaigns throughout time.

"They had no choice."
-from the BBC site.
