The human condition is a narrow view and we need to expand our horizons.

That's a good place to be, Pam. There it is possible to ponder... ...there the mystery still remains. There it is possible to respond with awe and reverence... to the mystery of being "René Magritte described his paintings by saying,
My painting is visible images which conceal nothing; they evoke mystery and, indeed, when one sees one of my pictures, one asks oneself this simple question, 'What does that mean?'. It does not mean anything, because mystery means nothing either, it is unknowable." from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magritte

It looks like to me that they are lined up to perfection. They are forming a perfect number which is seven.

Occasionally I have talents that are even hidden from me. Not usually but hey ... I amaze myself now that you point it out. All in fun. All in fun.

I didn't get it, Pam... and had to look into an encyclopaedia... " Tribbles are small, soft, gentle fictional animals in the Star Trek universe whose cute appearance and soothing purring endears them to every sentient race which encounters them — except Klingons. While only appearing in a handful of episodes, they are one of the most popular and famous species in the Star Trek universe.- more 'scientific' data resides at : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribbles

Did you know that the Statue of Jesus in Brazil is on the short list for the new 7 wonders of the world?

The example above is one of my favourites, as is Guernica. Here's one:

A note of explantion: I just want to make sure that all realize that I am sincere in my appreciation of the object-trouve above, which I took the liberty of entitling The Ubiquity of Exiguity....; and I was not trying to make fun of it or the artist. It is a beautiful piece of art!

Some of this *art* is only considered to be *art* because of the reputation of the artist. My grandaughter makes some beautiful drawings. What makes art art? Skill? Beauty? Realism? Novelty? Maybe its just another game humans play. I've not considered the question much, charis, but I've an idea art is that which deepens our appreciation of life and the world, and gives us fresh viewpoints for our stale ones. Art should wake us up out of the everyday humdrum drone ... it should help us to fly above the fog... In my seven-year-old grandaughter's case, her art is a celebration of the things she loves... animals...mermaids... Picasso said every child is an artist but the hard part is to remain an artist after growing up.
