Project Hope Progress:
from Zambia to the Philippines
Editor: Kandus Thorp, Vice President, International Development
From Zambia to the Philippines, we praise the Lord for His blessing on Project Hope! In just 19 days in Zambia we were able to film the equivalent of 114 half-hour shows! That project has now transitioned into the editing stage, and we are off on another filming marathon at the Hope Channel studio in the Philippines.
We have such a fabulous team here and Im so amazed at how God brings varied people together with all the talents needed for His success. Such a great spirit, never any complaining, just laughing and having good time. Many of the Southern-Asia division staff have pitched in. Changing sets is never a problemthere are lots of ready hands.
We are so thrilled with the content of much of the production. Weve filmed 8 half-hour medical shows, and the caliber of the medical experts along with other excellent content has made for really outstanding shows. We have also filmed over 36 half-hour music programmes and are finishing up 13 Bible studies. As I write we are filming an incredibly awesome saxophonist you should see the great combination shots the team is doing.
By Sunday afternoon, Lord willing we will have the equivalent of almost 68 programmes and will be over half-way toward our goal. We thank God and thank you for your prayers!
