Registered: 09/15/06 Posts: 3308 Loc: 49.05° Lat- 122.3° Long	News Notes September 10, 2007 Connecting with Jesus: Distributing Spirit of Prophecy Books to 2 Million Homes The Seventh-day Adventist Church is growing so rapidly that membership is projected to reach 50 million by the year 2020. Only 12.5% of those projected members were already members in the year 2000. Many will live in places where economic and language barriers may limit accessibility to important spiritual resources. Connecting with Jesus, a special one-hour presentation coming in September, will introduce an exciting global project sponsored by the General Conference and the Ellen G. White estate. The goal of the project is to put sets of 10 Spirit of Prophecy books and 10 related study guides into two million homes. This is the largest international book distribution project in the church’s history. Books will be printed in many languages, and subsidized to keep prices affordable. The counsel provided by God to His people through Ellen White has drawn readers closer to their Savior and deeper into the Bible, has helped to build unity in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and has laid a strong foundation for outreach and service which supports the tremendous growth we see today. Connecting with Jesus, hosted by two General Conference Vice Presidents, Mike Ryan and Ted Wilson with a number of special guests, will highlight the importance of this opportunity to pass on such valuable counsel.
