Registered: 12/10/02 Posts: 13646 Loc: Buon giorno, Principessa	"The Lord is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." Psalm 84:11 This verse is saying that God is both a light to enlighten our minds and hearts, and a protection against our foes. So you not only shine on me you shade me from the brightness of your light so I won't burn!!! You know that your glory scares the daylight OUT of me! So your shield only shows me what I can take! It is so easy for me to think of YOU as the enemy when you show up all my faults and evil ways! I would despair from your holiness and my inability to love it! Thank you for showing me just a little at a time. For letting the sun filter through the leafy green of your trees of love. Thank you for sparing me the wholeness of your glory so that I may continue to seek my wholeness! I have never known an enemy that could destroy me faster than your awesome goodness oh God! For how can this pitiful excuse for your creation stand in it! But because YOU are all that you are, You shield me from that which would destroy me and then you grow me like a tender sprout and allow the rain to fall with just enough sun to draw me heavenward!!! Someday you have promised that I WILL stand in your glory and will be caught up to meet it! I don't understand how you will do that God! But then I don't need to...You have already shown me that you are in control of that! Thank you!

It is hard to imagine that your face would be that powerful! Are you trying to tell me that when humans act like an ___ they are powerless! But the power of your face would consume me in my sinful state! So all we as humans can tolerate is your backside! Father, I long to be cupped in your hands peeking through your fingers at the place where your light is falling and destroying the darkness. I praise you for your kindness and for knowing what I can take. You created me O God, You alone have brought me away from the horrible pit of darkness. Like the blind who have just received there sight I need some sunglasses to bear it. Instead you help me by turning your back on me. How strange that is. When a human does that it feels like rejection. But when you do it. it is protective love. Oh God! Create your light within me. Destroy ALL the darkness that my heart may hold.
