Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

As a lifelong non-Christian, that skit actually showed me what JESUS DIED FOR!

This is the first time I've really understood. I prayed right after I watched it and dedicated my life to Christ.

Wow, in my thirty-plus years on earth, that's a statement I would NEVER have guessed I would I make!

I don't think the church is against skits and plays. They are done in SDA parochial schools and the Communications Dept of most SDA colleges/universities have Drama as part of the curricula base.

I'm happy for you, DrWhoCompanion. When did you see the video first time? It's impressing how a simple play can change lives, but that's the point, isn't it? That play above is like mini-gospel making the long story short: Jesus died for YOU and He loves YOU.
I have never been really thinking of the church plays as a means of the Word or as a messenger of God.. (They were just something that binds youth to church activities..) So, I'm thankful to the author for postig his experience, and as I'm working with young people in our church, it's good to broaden my vision of gospel.

Wow! Impressive!!!! Makes me wish that I had done that when I was a drama director/actor with in the SDA church..

I think that this play shows how we feel when it comes to having God in our lives...It is a reflection of our view on our relationship with God...and it does it quite well...

Our church, Amelia, is NOT against drama...but we don't have time for this...."non-sense"...there is a lot of work that goes into skits like this...and it takes some dedication on the part of the players....it is very rewarding when you do these type of plays and I can only say this- if you have the opertunity to do some skits, take the time to learn them and do them....it will help heal you in many ways that you can not imagine...and help you discover your own hurts and pains...some of which you have been burying for many years...

Yes, I could relate to the skit in many ways but I would have appreciated it more if it didn't bring in the "Disney" or world view that evil is represented by the color black. This concept continues to ingrain prejudice into our society's hearts.
It is my understanding that Sin is represented in the Bible by the color Red of Crimson, not Black. Mia

I see your point, Mia. But if the skit is trying to reach unbelievers, how would they know that? I am pretty new and I wasn't aware of it.

I am sorry that so often the straining of the soup to avoid swallowing the gnat is looked for rather then the number of SOULS perishing. I guess I'm sensitive because I have loved ones lying in their graves overcome from the EVILS depicted in this skit. Just thought we were suppose to look for the greater good and since ONLY God is good shouldn't we allow for human expression that struggles with explaining GRACE?
