Our church is hosting the Heart Quest series. Our family decided to show up and support the church rather than watch it at home. We had about between 50 and 70 people show up - mostly church members. It was a great message and great music. I am looking forward to the rest of the meetings. It is also nice to get together with the local church folks too.

Tonight was an AWESOME presentation of the law as God's boundaries set up so we can have a relationship with Him. I have understood the concept of the law being the law of love but it was presented not only as a law of love but as by the means God has given us to have and grow in a relationship with Him. Without the law, a relationship with God is impossible. It is the guidelines or boundaries God has established so that we can walk with Him. Hands down, this was the best presentation of the law I have ever seen. This is an excellent crusade. I hope the Hope Channel runs reruns.

If you consider"The Law" as being "Love" and "God is Love" then anything that comes between you and God is what we call "SIN"....
God (Love) in his loving kindness and mercy has revealed to us the "all-inclusive" ten danger areas that could separate us from Him. We call these the "Ten Commandments". The problem is that we are mistaking the "Ten Commandments" for the "Law"..

or is this too simple?

This evening was about prayer. I am really impressed with Pastor Tucker's presentation. He comes off as caring, compassionate and concerned. I also love the exchange with his wife and her involvement in the series. It creates such a loving environment it makes my wife and I just want to cuddle close to each other. We are feeling a little ill today so we stayed home and watched on TV. No meeting tomorrow night. I have to go out of town Friday and won't get home until late so we won't be back at church until Sabbath.
