DASUS invites you to its 4th Annual Dominica Day on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the New Rochelle Seventh-day Adventist Church, 456 Webster Avenue, in New Rochelle, New York to celebrate the 29th Anniversary of Dominica’s Independence.

Dominica Day will begin with a cultural Sabbath School program at 9:30 a.m. The formal worship service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Dominican-born pastor, scholar and professor Darius Lecointe, Ph.D., JD, will be the featured speaker. Dr. Lecointe is a Research Design Consultant at Ball State University. He holds a BA degree in Theology and History from Caribbean Union College in Trinidad and served on the island of Barbados as a pastor within the East Caribbean Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

As part of its Dominica Day celebration, DASUS will also honor two distinguished individuals for their pioneering role and contributions to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Dominica. A panel discussion entitled “Building community” is scheduled for the afternoon.

Dominicans and friends of DASUS are invited to a fellowship luncheon immediately following the worship service. Please see the attached flyer for contributing a dish to the luncheon.
