Club Adventist
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

Here are a couple of questions I might use to get a Sabbath School class discussion started:

1. What does praise do for a Christian?

2. Does a life of continual praise mean that a Christian ignores problems?
Praise:

I think praise changes our perspective towards all things in general. It's a wonderful filter.

Some how my study this a.m. took me back to the time Saul had an evil spirit and David's harp playing would quiet Saul for a time and so I am wondering as to the power that music has to lift up the countenance of a person and bring refreshing. I know I sense a change in myself when I sing praises to Him. Try it today- Praise Him and see how much better you feel and how others see your joy and respond positively to you. \:\)

I agree we do not praise Him enough i understand in reading this lessons today that 'AS' they prayed in 2 Cron.20 that God set traps against the armys that were going to destroy them but i would like some talk, they also Fasted, what is the point of going hungry on purpose? What is the motive for doing so? Your opinion.

I don't know that there was a motive for fasting so much as a desire to clear their minds so God could use them directly to solve an enormous problem they had just encountered.

The point of praise is as i see it not to do something because God must have praise all the time, worship and praise is for our benifit not God's. When i praise God i am not looking towards "i" i am looking at a safe direction towards "I AM" and if i am not looking at anything "i" can do but towards "I AM" then i am safe. Peter walking on the water [troubles in this life] with Jesus was fine until he for some reason took those eyes off Jesus He sank AT THAT POINT, so me also when i take my eyes off Jesus and start to think what "i" have done i sink in the same spot, God bless you all.
