As I type this topic, I've just come from the ssnet.org site (misplaced my lesson---or might not have recieved one since I teach kindergarten and miss out on all adult SS interaction). Not sure of the exact title. But do want to start a discussion on this week's lesson. Was reminded as I read the texts and discussion points that I easily forget to 'see' beyond what's visible. It's great to be reminded of men like Moses and how they persevered in the midst of crisis. Has God ever revealed to you a little bit of what's going on behind the 'veil' so to speak? That great curtain that sheilds us from knowing all there is to know about life's situations. The big "WHY did this have to happen?" question that arises from time to time. He has for us. And when that happens---when He lets his Power shine through the darkness of doubt it's a marvelous thing. Other times He stays totally out of sight. It's during the 'invisible' times that I'm challenged to remember the milestones of His faithfulness. That's when I must tell myself He is still there just like He was through Job's crisis. I'll try to share one of those experiences this week. Right now I must be on with my day. So glad to have found this forum. Lillie Belle

Thank you for your comments. I think this lesson is one of the more interesting ones in this series on "crucibles" in the Christian life.

Jeannie, I suppose this is one of my favorite topics of all. One of the texts for today reminded me of my senior class' song, "Humble Yourselves..." Humble youselves therefore Under the mighty hand of God That He may exalt you In due time Casting all your care Upon Him For He careth for you He careth for you That's all I remember...but will try to find the rest of that comforting song. Also, I should look for the author and composers names to give them credit. Happy Thanksgiving preparation day to all, Lillie Belle
