Club Adventist
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

I love my friends of every race and I am sure it could be hard to see evil as always depicted as "black". However, I don't see my african friends as black. I see them as a beautiful shade of brown.

I am so glad it was a blessing to you DrWhoCompanion! It spoke ot me too!

A short, powerful video like that can be worth millions of sermons. Daniel, John, and a few others in the Bible also watched video animations of the Last Days.

The hardliners may protest, but who knows what it may take for a sad, desperate person to see themselves being set free from the powerful entanglements of self-destruction.

The church is not against skits/plays. But there is a small group within the church who take certain EGW quotes out of context and condemn any kind of play-acting.

Hmmm. Taking EGW out of context and condemning? I think I have heard of that happening before.

A few churches are, but I think I could safely say that the majority are quite happy with it.

I attended a nondenominational church recently as a visitor, with friends who are members. You all missed the... um... sultry dance a gal of about 12 or 13 did, in bare feet and a leotard. I was embarrassed. I'm pretty tolerant and felt it was out of place for a house of worship.

If you've seen Flashdance, well, let's just say I was waiting on her to pull a string and get a bucketful of water on herself!

I never heard of dramas involving EGW as the theme. It would actually be rather interesting. It could be done with Ellen narrating the story....especially things that happened in her "early years" could be commented on by Ellen in her post-grandma years.

They do it on a regular basis at the Adventist Heritage Center in Battle Creek where Ellen White's old home is. I really enjoyed it.

Also when I went to Elmshaven near PUC... they did it in a small way. The Battle Creek one was the best though.

There are recordings of EGW-type dramatizations. I don't remember the name of them. Keepers of the Flame is one of the older series of videos. I've seen some others since then.
