Club Adventist

Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

"Binding The Wounds" is a program on Hope Channel by Drs. Ron and Nancy Rockey. In my opinion, this is one of the best programs on Hope Channel, I wish they would put it in a better time slot.

"Binding the Wounds" by internationally respected counselors Ron and Nancy Rockey, teach the four primary steps which are necessary to bring emotional and spiritual recovery and victory, and teach about what behaviors constitute abuse. For those traumatized or abused, and/or are seeking to be like Jesus, they can attend or buy the 22-week 'Binding the Wounds' follow-up recovery program on video tapes (also 100% Bible-based) and the "Binding the Wounds" workbook.
These programs deal with the damage to the mind and character caused by trauma, knowingly or unknowingly abusive, dysfunctional parents, teachers, ministers/clergy, friends, co-workers, strangers, etc., or tainted genes.
There is hope to get freed from those thoughts, feelings and behaviors which keep a person bound in fear, anger, sadness, or feelings of worthlessness. Those that are teachable, are fixable!

I am putting a little ad in my quarterly newsletter I mail out to my family and friends about this program. All episodes are available from their website for $250, which is the cost of just a few counseling sessions. It is fantastic and has the potential to heal thousands that are hurting. I think Adventist pastors should become familiar with this resource and encourage those dealing with these issues to purchase and use it.

Shane, my husband & I have been through the Rockey's programs and they are awesome. You are right they have the potiential to heal thousands that are hurting. We know from experience.
I did not realize they are on Hope -- I'll check it out. They now have a new program "The Journey" that is ten weeks. There are four of these new ten week sessions that go together.
I hope to facilitate on soon.

These programs are not just some boring lectures. To watch this husband and wife team converse back on forth sometimes makes the viewer feel like a fly on the wall. They do a fantastic job. As a viewer I become endeared to these counselors in a way that makes me feel that I know them and would trust them with my deepest issues. I am really tempted to say this is the best thing coming across the airwaves from the Hope Channel. That is no small complement as the Hope Channel has A LOT of good programing but this is one that is 1) entertaining 2) fascinating and 3) able to heal broken people.

We had the Rockey's at our BC Camp Meeting about 5-6 years ago. Their Binding the Wounds workshop is excellent! We really, really appreciated having them. If a person has not heard them and worked through their program it would be well worth it. Their program is very highly recommended.
