I am the Lord." Both cutting and tattooing were heathen customs, and God forbade his people from doing so in imitation of them. As we know, many pick and choose which, if any, of the OT laws they follow. How do you think this should apply to our culture today? carolaa Registered: 03/22/05 Posts: 590 Loc: Texas	That is such an interesting subject! It sounds like maybe it was a cultural thing, like eating meat offered to idols, and not really a sin. I just read an article today about a couple that got tattoos in honor of their dead baby. Somehow, I can't believe God would condemn them for that.
