1. Duane McKey, president of the Arizona Conference, has accepted a call to become a vice president of the Southwestern Union Conference.
2. Antonio Anobile, secretary of the Arizona Conference, has been elected president of that conference.
3. Lyn Behrens, president of Loma Linda University Health Science Center, has announced that she will retire. A search committee has been established to make a recommendation to the board for a replacement.
4. Eighteen hundred people have been attending evangelistic meetings in Portland, Oregon, where Shawn Boonstra has been preaching.
5. Recent deaths include:
A. Evelyn Osborn, mother of Dick (president of PUC) and Ken (Associate Treasurer of the NAD);
B. Henson Whitehead, father of Ron Whitehead of Andrews University. Henson served for many years as Treasurer of the Southern Union Conference;
C. Murry Demming. He was a pastor of the college church in Lincoln, Nebraska, before he retired. He was more than 100 years old when he died;
D. The mother of Duane McKey passed away in Oklahoma.
5. Three hundred fifty people came to a church works convention in Illinois where they sat in groups planning how to reach every person in Illinois with the gospel.
