Charlton Heston, Oscar-Winning Actor, Dies at 84

Charlton Heston, who won the 1959 best actor Oscar as the
chariot-racing "Ben-Hur" and also portrayed Moses,
Michelangelo, El Cid and other heroic figures in movie epics
of the 1950s and '60s, has died, a spokesman for the actor's
family told The Associated Press. He was 84.

He made some good movies. I don't know much about his personal or religious life only that he was politically conservative.

Very sad. One of my top fav actors.

A tribute in "The Australian" today...

I loved watching him play Moses in The Ten Commandments. We try to watch that movie every Easter season. He will be missed.
