San Bernardino City Hall. MLK's widow had been scheduled to do the honors but she was unable to be there due to illness. Not sure who did it but I believe it was the city's mayor.

Near the Tennessee/Georgia border.
My oldest sister and father, absent my mother, who would be laid to rest on the hill under those trees later that day.
She died in Jesus, fully confident in God's promises.

My mother and her mother. My grandmother was born in 1875. She was just a little girl living in Portland, Oregon, when Mrs. White made two visits to that city; one in May 1880, and a second, in June 1884. She said Ellen White slept at least one night in their home while in the Portland area.
