It isn't fair. I am losing two friends in the same year, to the same diseases. I remember talking with her in the chatroom when it was just us two, only months ago.

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to meet Denise in person a couple of months ago. She was just a tiny little thing, there in her hospital bed, but full of ideas and mental energy and positive hopes for her future. I could see then that she likely was near the end of her days, but we didn't talk of that. We talked of her friendships and involvement with Club Adventist. It was family to her, and she made it feel like family to us.

Brother Cubensis,

As much as we speak of death in a bad way, many times it is not. It is the release from pain, and it is a bless rest from our labors. Denise is well on her way, it seems, to being released from her pain. Our Lord knows her and Angels marks where she lay. Remember, Angels mark where we lay, even though time may forget, our angels and our Lord does not.

On arriving home today after spending the afternoon shopping, my wife and I pulled into the mailbox area where a new bulletin was posted, reminding us again how close we live to the enemy of souls. A neighbor whom I had talked to while he was out frisking with his dog just two days ago, had died the same evening.
My greatest regret was never having spoken of Jesus' love for him.

That is so neat LynnDel!! I wish I could of met her, but look forward in meeting her when Jesus returns. I was able to speak to her once at the hospital and we spoke for a minute, but she couldn't talk, and asked me to call back at a certain time...and when I did call back, the phone was busy, and couldn't contact her back after that. I remember one time my hubby had some training somewhere, and they had internet at the hotel where the training was....and I of course had my laptop, lol and I went online and Denise and I chatted for like 2 hours....she was always there in the chat room when you wanted to chat....she is a sweetheart! :)

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as one dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying, Fear not; I am the first and the last, and the Living one; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting? The sting of death is sin; and the power of sin is the law: but thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

(Rev. 1:17, 18; 1 Cor. 15:51-57)

Dear Lord Jesus, draw close to the loved ones of Denise, comfort them and use what the enemy of souls intends for evil to somehow do good. Let us not mourn for Denise, as she now rests in You and awaits that precious mourning when You call forth Your saints. Be with those left behind in emptiness, pain and questions begging for answers. Send the right people into their lives, guide them that search for answers and like the seed that must die before it can sprout forth from the ground, let a beautiful result come out of this that somehow those left behind will see that somehow something good can come out of such a bitter tragedy. And have mercy on us all as You are our only hope. Amen.

We look forward to that morning so much, Denise.

Such a special lady, I do not think I have ever heard a negative thing about her. I join in the prayers for her husband and family.
