I think there are valid points above that you would need to consider. And consider also the reason you stopped going in the first place. I am not asking what that is/was, but has whatever issue that was been worked through to that it would not rear its head again?

Church is the people not the building.

Well I guess one can both receive spiritual nourishment and witness to others in appropriate forums.

I tried the archived sermons none of them seem to work, maybe I will have to watch the live sermon tomorrow. Someone should inform the webmaster.

I can see you study in depth from a biblical perspective, and maybe it's hard to see why it would be good to go back from an individual perspective, but what about the corporate perspective? Maybe your knowledge and insights are needed in the church. Maybe your perspective will help someone else, because we need not just fellowship but the ability to serve others as Jesus did.

I would venture to say also that "church" is not a building.....nor is it the rituals of stand up, sit down, kneel for prayer, stand again for opening song, special music, etc. All of that happened last week at the church I attend, and I walked out before the sermon ever got a chance to get underway. Ironically, the topic was going to be *forgiveness.*

I think *church* is the gathering together of disciple(s) of Christ, who then share *their* *church* with the unchurched and when there are two or more believers, then there's a new church born.

We need to get back to the first churches that Paul and Peter and Timothy and Silas and others started. SHARING and CARING about one another. Just my opinion...

Yeah, but I am not really the preaching or confrontational type. I have thought about stuff like that but I don't see that as my spiritual gift.

Exactly, people that have that spiritual gift have an easier time dealing with ignorance. I just don't have the patience to be a teacher, nor do I pretend to.
