The current conflict in Northern Ireland was begun by Bernadette Devlin and others in the late sixties in the name of 'civil rights,' not religion.
The body count for conflict in the name of atheism in the 20th century alone is somewhere between 100-200 million. That is as great or greater than the population of the entire world during some of the so-called 'wars in the name of religion.'

When you embrace your own selfishness you are put in a position where you can't claim you are fighting for God. No one fights for God. Human righteousness is as filty rags, even when we are being nice it is always self-serving. goal?I would say honesty is the best goal for a Christian.
