Do scars remain in Jesus' feet and hands?

I had not really thought about this before, but I have a serious question: Do the scars of dying on the cross stay in Jesus' feet for eternity? What does this really mean? Do scars stay in glorified bodies for ever? Will we have scars remaining in our new glorified bodies we have for eternity or will it just be in Jesus' feet and hands? Does Jesus keep his humanity forever? What does this mean about our God?

After Jesus' resurrection recorded in John 20, He appeared to the disciples but without Thomas being present. When they told him that He had been resurrected, he said, "Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe." Thomas believed after Jesus showed him His wounds.
They were there then (after His resurrection), I believe they are still there. These will be reminders of the tragic consequences of sin so that it will never raise its ugly head again.

I do believe that they will remain. I think EGW states that in her writings. I'm not sure where but maybe john317 or redwood know.

Compare Zechariah 13: 6 and Early Writings, p. 179.
"Jesus will present His hands with the marks of His crucifixion. The marks of this cruelty He will ever bear. Every print of the nails will tell the story of man's wonderful redemption and the dear price by which it was purchased."

...Do scars stay in glorified bodies for ever? Will we have scars remaining in our new glorified bodies we have for eternity or will it just be in Jesus' feet and hands? Apparently, based on the book of Revelation, the time will finally come, after the 1000 years, when humans will not bear any marks of sin and Christ will be the only One whose body will still carry the scars left by the crucifixion. He exchanges his perfection in order to take on our imperfections so we can be totally healed! Does Jesus keep his humanity forever? What does this mean about our God? Yes, Jesus keeps His humanity throughout eternity. He is One with the human race forever. Even now, following Jesus' resurrection and ascension, the NT refers to Him as a human being. He is a glorified human but a human nonetheless. What it means is that God loved so much that he was willing to permanently surrender his comfortable and glorious position in heaven in order to identify Himself with lowly creatures. When God gave His Son, He gave Him to us forever and without reserve. In comparison with God, It would be like our lowering ourselves to the level of an ant. No words can describe the amazing love, the mind-boggling sacrifice.

The question then should be asked: "Is Jesus Omnipresent?" This is one of the traits of God. If he is not Omnipresent then is he still God? How does this work?

Christ gave up some of his rights and privileges as God, and according to the Bible, the ability to be personally everywhere at once is one of them. Of course, through the Holy Spirit, Jesus can live in each one of us, yet in a literal sense, Jesus is in the heavenly sanctuary with His Father. Jesus had flesh and bones following the resurrection (Luke 24: 39). There is no reason to believe he changed between that point and the time he ascended to heaven. (See Acts 1: 9-11.)
We know this is true because of what Jesus told his disciples regarding the coming of the Comforter. He said he couldn't be with all of them, but the Holy Spirit would be. And when he was raised on Sunday morning, he told Mary not to grab hold of him because he hadn't yet ascended to His Father(John 20: 17). If Jesus could be in all places at one time, there would be no need for Him to wait until His bodily ascension in order for Him to be with the Father. If Jesus was raised with the capability of being everywhere at once, He could have been with the Father at the same time that He was with the disciples in the upper room.
2 Tim. 2: 5 refers to Him as a human being still. 2 John 7 says that Jesus is still in the flesh. It uses a present participle, "coming in the flesh." It is not merely something Jesus did once long ago. That is one reason we may be certain that when He comes the second time, He will come as both God and man, just as He was when He went to heaven as recorded in Acts 1.

Thanks for the explanation. I had some of those thoughts in the back of my mind but had not put it togther as succinctly as explained here.

And when he was raised on Sunday morning, he told Mary not to grab hold of him because he hadn't yet ascended to His Father(John 20: 17). So what was the difference between this moment when he told Mary not to touch him and when he had ascended to the Father? Was he somehow in a different form? Was he really human at that moment or was he rather Spirit like? What was the difference?
