I am tired of doing nothing.
Do "something" then.
All the bible promises i ever claimed were never fullfilled.
Maybe you're not claiming the ones meant for you.
I know i am far from perfect, but i have always followed my conscious.
Mark 8:34Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.'
I gave everything up for Jesus.
Everything? Really,
every thing?
I am tired of repeating this, but the fact remains that i am very lonely, filled with anger and dissapointments.
Yep. Me too. God's filled with disappointments too.
It is not just a personal matter, but also tied to the fate of millions of poor homeless people for which i feel compassion but am not able to change because God will not help me/them.
Maybe God's got a plan that you just don't understand. Even Judas wanted to use the money to help feed the poor, but Jesus told him there would be poor always.
1. I cannot take the bible for every word. None of Gods promises were fullfilled after years of begging.
Tell that to Moses. I seem to recall he waited for 40 years. (How old are you??)
2. I cannot trust God for receiving special powers to change the world.
Nope--'cause He never promised you special powers.
But you can DO SOMETHING. You can make a difference for one:
The Starfish Story
There was once a wise old man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. One day as he walked along
the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. As he got closer, he saw
that it was a young man, and the young man wasn’t dancing, but instead was reaching down to the shore,
picking up starfish, and very gently throwing them into the ocean.
“Good morning! What are you doing?” asked the wise man. The young man paused, looked up, and replied,
“Throwing starfish into the ocean. The sun is rising, and the tide is out. And if I don’t throw them in, they’ll
die.”
“But, young man, don’t you realize that there are miles of beach and thousands of starfish all along it? You
can’t possibly make a difference!”
The young man, listening politely, bent down and picked up another starfish, throwing it into the sea past the
breaking waves. Turning to the old man, he modestly replied,
“It made a difference for that one.”
