I have asked this question to numerous people and get different answers from different people...
What is a meaningful way to study the Bible so as to receive instruction in a way that transforms the life into Christ-like character?
I think I'm trying to find better ways to study the Bible for my own personal spiritual life.

I think I'm trying to find better ways to study the Bible for my own personal spiritual life. It wasn't until I recognized the Holy Bible as God's love letter to His children that it became more than just learning how to be religious in the proper way. Recognizing that fact made me determine to read the Bible completely through with the intent not to miss anything that He might have to say to this erring child for my spiritual growth and present wellbeing. In that process I began to run across many Scriptures that seemed to leap out at me, addressing issues that seemed to meet just the appropriate need for daily living. This seeming necessary effort was partly motivated by an effort to find assurance for a life that had more than an offering for backbreaking work with minimal returns. However the effort also came from certain words indicating a closer relationship with the Master of the universe was not only possible but also had implications of desire on the part of the Divine mind to invite any who came to Him, a place in His family. "But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul." Deuteronomy 4:29 NKJV "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28 NKJV That was just the beginning of a relationship that has endured to this day, thanks be to God for His patience and forbearance. And since that was only the beginning, If you would like to hear the "rest of the story", I'll be happy to carry on with a later post. Regards!

For a life-transforming Bible study?
"Now when they say the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus." Acts 4:13 ESV.
"It would be well for us to spend a thoughtful hour each day in contemplation of the life of Christ. We should take it point by point, and let the imagination grasp each scene, especially the closing ones. As we thus dwell upon His great sacrifice for us, our confidence in Him will be more constant, our love will be quickened, and we shall be more deeply imbued with His Spirit. If we would be saved, we must learn the lesson of penitence and humiliation at the foot of the cross." DA 83.Gerry

What is a meaningful way to study the Bible so as to receive instruction in a way that transforms the life into Christ-like character? I wish more people would ask the same question! "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." When you study God's Word, and meditate (think about, ponder) those things you find there, they will become faith. "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:63 The words that God speak to us in His Word WILL transform you!

I would recommend studying the Bible Characters particularly in the Old Testament like Joseph and Moses and David etc etc ... if you haven't already.
Of course it is also important and a no brainer ... to study the life of Christ. Mrs. White suggests an hour each day to reflect on the life of Christ . And that would be a great goal if you are able.
And Welcome. Thanks for the good question. I am sure many will benefit.
