Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

THE TRUTHFUL WITNESS
"If I [Jesus] bear witness of myself, my witness is not true." (John 5:31)

"I [Jesus] am one that bear witness of myself..." (John 8:18)

According to these scriptures, Jesus was a false witness.

THE GENEALOGY OF JESUS
"And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary...." (Matthew 1:16)

"And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being ... the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli..."(Luke 3:23)

WHO JESUS SAID WAS GOD
"Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?" (John 10:34)

According to this scripture, Jesus thought that the Jewish law (i.e., the Old Testament) reported that he said the Jews were gods.

THE VIRGIN BIRTH
"Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh...." (Romans 1:3)

THE SO-CALLED SON OF GOD'S COURAGE
"And I [Jesus] say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do." (Luke 12:4)

"Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple..." (John 8:59)

"After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because Jews sought to kill him." (John 7:1)

A case of do as I say, not as I do!

THE PRINCE OF PEACE
"Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I [Jesus] tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three." (Luke 12:51-2)

"Think not that I [Jesus] have come to send peace on earth: I come not to send peace, but a sword." (Matthew 10:34)

"...for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword." (Matthew 26:52)

"...and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." (Luke 22:36)

And to think that these ravings are supposed to be the sayings of one some call the prince of peace.

WHOLESOME FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS
"For I [Jesus] am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household." (Matthew 10:35-6)

"If any man come unto me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." (Luke 14:26)

"Honour thy father and thy mother..." (Matthew 19:19)

"And call no man your father upon earth..." (Mathew 23:9)

HIS FOLLOWERS
"All that ever came before me [Jesus] are thieves and robbers..." (John 10:8)

GREAT WISDOM OF HIS TEACHINGS
"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I [Jesus] will liken him unto a wise man..." (Matthew 7:24)

"And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish..." (Matthew 5:29)

Who in their right mind would pluck out their eye and think that it was profitable?

THE HOUR OF THE CRUCIFIXION
"And it was the third hour, and they crucified him." (Mark 15:25)

(John 19:12-18) clearly shows that he was not crucified until after the sixth hour.

SCRIPTURAL ACCURACIES
"Then was fulfilled [by Jesus] that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet..." (Matthew 27:9)

It was Zechariah, not Jeremy, who made that prophecy. See (Zechariah 11:12)

"...that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He [Jesus] shall be called a Nazarene." (Matthew 2:23)

There is no mention by the Old Testament prophets that this Jesus fellow would be called a Nazarene. God was often confused when writing the Bible.

BROKEN PROMISES
"Verily I [Jesus] say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things [the end of the world] be fulfilled." (Matthew 24:34, Mark 13:30, Luke 21:32)

"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." (Matthew 21:22)

The early followers of Jesus died waiting for the end of the world, and even today, over 1900 years later, some Christians still believe that the world is to end in their generation, and that Jesus will give them anything that they ask for in prayer.

RESURRECTION
His friends come to Jesus' tomb, but the doorstone is rolled away and one angel sitting on the outside gives the news to them before they go in. (Matthew 28:1-8)

His friends come to the tomb, go inside, find nobody, are perplexed, and then two men give them the news. (Luke 24:1-4)

The other resurrection stories are different as well.

I appreciate your experience with the Jehovah Witnesses, John317. And I am certain there will be some who eventually will be privileged to enter the kingdom of heaven. However I do not believe it will be because of their decent virtues shown to others, anymore than I believe that mine or another Adventist's eternal life rests in our commendable deeds. I say this because eternal life is given only to those who receive the Father and the Son through
the Father and Son's efforts for the lost. Since Jehovah's Witnesses do not, at least according to what they have told me, recognize Jesus as more than a created being instead of as Almighty God, I'm at a loss to see where their deliverance will come from. That is not to imply our Father doesn't have something He knows about, from the Scripture, of which I'm entirely unaware.

This first Scripture might speak to that issue.

"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." Luke 23:34 KJV

"`All things were delivered to me by my Father, and none doth know the Son, except the Father, nor doth any know the Father, except the Son, and he to whom the Son may wish to reveal [Him]." Matthew 11:27
YLT

"Who is the liar, except he who is denying that Jesus is the Christ? this one is the antichrist who is denying the Father and the Son; every one who is denying the Son, neither hath he the Father, [he who is confessing the Son hath the Father also.] ..." 1 John 2:22 YLT

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 KJV

These Scriptures also put to rest, at least for those who believe them to be from God, other religions that dismiss Jesus as less than God.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made."
John 1:1-4 TNIV

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. " John 1:14 NKJV
God bless! peace

"You have changed, haven't you? Are you speaking from your emotions or is this representative of your reasoning and the weight of evidence?"

Based on evidence, logical reasoning and practical reality i am 100 percent sure that God is unjust. I am so angry with God for putting me on this planet just to teach the universe a little lesson. I didn t ask to be born did i? I hate my life, please pray that God will kill me. Maybe this time he ll listen to your prayers, for what i have red in the old testament God enjoys being a mass murderer, it makes him feel big. Stupid silly God of us. I hate God, I hate Satan, I hate people, I hate life.

Truthseeker, have you ever asked anyone to explain why there was so much bloodshed in the Old Testament?

I pray that as the weekend comes, that the Lord may give you peace in your heart- a big hug.

Praying that you will have strength to get through this bad period of time that you are going through Truthseeker. I just can't imagine the pain that you are in. But awhile back I thought it was you that said you would do anything that God called you to do. Well ... God is calling you to do just what you are now telling us you don't want to do. He has put you on this planet to teach the universe a lesson. Are you up to it? Can you really prove your love for Him. Or are you going to go the easy way out like so many before ....

Life is hard. Satan offers the easy way out. Are you going to take him up on his offer? I sure hope not. Join us in our efforts to try to Glorify our God. If we can do that even in just a few small ways ... our job is accomplished. From what I have read of your posts ... you have big dreams. You want to go huge. Huge and Wonderful Works. You think it is 'all or nothing'. That is what the legalists preach. The only thing you have to do that is all or nothing ... is to love God by giving your heart to Him. Look at the examples in the Bible of those who just did their small part. When each of us do our small part ... it all adds up to the huge part that you desire.

I respect that you want to do so much for God. This tells me that you really do love Him. That is good. Your heart is what he really wants. The actions are gravy.

Anyway ... Just wanted to say that I am so happy that you are here with us. Please keep coming and sharing how you are feeling. Whatever trials and heartaches you may have ... you are cared about here. We welcome you. And we love you as our Christian brother.

Just remember that we are all in the same boat. Some just may have a few more blisters than the other.

Thank you Gail. To be honest with you, i am so angry right now that i am thinking about throwing eggs at my local church. I am not gonna do that of course, but that is how i feel after years of putting my trust and hope in Jesus. At least i have learned some important lessons; don t trust God, be responsible for your own living and don t let other people convince you concerning religious matters, no matter how good they may sound, reality will prove that these are just myths. God doesn t care even about his own people. God wants you to feel unworthy miserable worms, but at the same time he just doesn t give a damn about you. Only if i were God, there would be justice...Unfortunately i am just a little worm.

Redwood i have often thought about the distinction between followers of satan and followers of Christ. I think Christ is the lesser evil of both, but actually i hate both. Satan is just a plain liar, murderer etc. and Jesus is the one who is creating false hope, talking about things he is not able or willing to do in order to get sinners back on track.

Now i hate to be called a satanist because i reject God. I reject satan even more. Satan to me is just a stupid, ignorant, foolish piece of energy. Still God will treat me as though i am his follower because i reject the Robot-plan for mankind that God has invented. That s why i wish i was never born.

Thanks for responding Truthseeker. Just remember ... there will be better days ahead. I don't mean to belittle your feelings. But I think you know that this is the cycle of your medical issues. Hang in there. Come and keep talking with us. We want to help you get through this rough period of time. But, remember that there will be better days ahead for you and your thoughts of things.

Yes, Truthseeker, I know you are angry. But Christ says, Come to me, and I will give you rest.

You have been carrying such a burden. I will continue to pray for you and if you are able, even if you can just say the words (for sometimes our actions will follow the words if we say it), put your outstretched hands before the Lord and give Him those pains, sorrows and the heavy weight of your soul.

I am glad that you are here, too :) Those around you may not understand a heavy soul, but we all do here. Even if it is not the same burden, we know what it is like to be bowed down.
