Club Adventist
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

Townhall is suppose to be for ... "This, that and the other thing." for those who are new.

I think you're gettin' out of control Stan Jensen. What if you think a topic about gay marriage is political, or about any issue, or what about the topic about that man that's facing the death penalty. What if they start talking about the politics involved in that?

How do people know what you consider "political"?

I remember a post I made about an interpretation and you thought the whole idea was to convince people to keep the feast days. That's not even remotely what the topic was about. And that post is gone.

It was not about the feast days. It was something people can learn from, so they don't have to defend the Sabbath with weak and rickety interpretations.

You must not have even read it. Otherwise, how could you form a conclusion like that?

So be patient.

Why would you want your patrons to live in fear. I hope people know to back up their data on their own computer and not trust it to you. Some times these topics take hours of research to gather all the facts.

This make ya mad? Ya wanna go and delete all my posts now?

That's a pretty hot post you made there Rush. Why are you angry?

If you look you will see many different forums created for specific topics. I think it's pretty self evident as to where posts belong. If a person isn't clear on where a post should be created and places it in the wrong room, we (mod/admin) will move it and leave a pointer. Anything related to the currant elections of the USA belongs in "Politics". Anything to do with the currant government of the USA or in fact any country, belongs in "Politics". Anything to do with something like Global Warming or the starving in Darfur, belongs in "World Affairs". Biblical/bible thoughts go in the Theology section. Anything to do with Adventist thoughts belong in "What Adventists Believe". Ellen White topics can go in her own forum or in "What Adventists Believe".

If Stan doesn't move something I don't have a problem moving it. Sometimes topics get too heated between a couple of posters and in that case the whole thread will get moved to Natter Matters or another appropriate forum where it can be duked out without the whole board population being offended by it.

Got a problem with that? Cause I don't have any problems moving posts to other forums or off the board all together.

If you have trouble understanding the topic "Why I'll be voting for Obama
" as being political, I am not sure what else can be said to you.

Stan the problem is that only PAYING members of Club Adventist can post in the political discussion forum. If a non paying member wants to discuss politics his or her only option is to open a discussion in town hall. Now you cannot get upset at these people for wanting to discuss current events they are denied from participating in because they have not paid a membership fee can you? You are just denying non paying membership from discussing politcs on club adventist.
