1.  Recent deaths and funerals:


Lyol Netteburg, father of Kermit Netteburg, and retired treasurer of
the Northern Union, passed away December 31, 2004.  Funeral services
will be at the Loma Linda University Church Chapel, at 3:00 p.m.,
Sunday, January 9, 2005.


Nancy Aufderhar Harlan, the daughter of Glenn and Barbra Aufderhar,
died of cancer.  She had been a teacher at Loma Linda Academy.  Her
memorial service will be Sabbath, January 8, 2005, at the Riverside
Community Adventist Church.

Ted Hansen passed away January 4, 2005.  He is the father of Kent
Hansen, who serves as the attorney for Loma Linda University and some
other of our colleges.  The family is planning a private memorial.


2.  ADRA has been heavily involved with the relief effort following the
Tsunami.  If you want to help with the effort, the best way is to go on
line, and make a contribution, which can quickly be transferred to the

3.  Pathfinders in Thailand were planning a camporee on the beach at
Phucket, but as the time for the camporee approached, it was decided to
move it to the mainland; 2000 pathfinders escaped harm because of this
decision.
