1. Ben Brown was elected and has accepted the
position of president of the South Central Conference replacing Joe
McCoy who had resigned. Elder Brown was serving as the president of our
work in Ethiopia, and had previously been the secretary of the South
Central Conference.

2. Dr. Don Sahly, president of Southwestern
Adventist University, is considering a call to become the president of
Home Study International/Griggs University.

3. Reports from the North
American Conferences are just now coming in. One of the exciting ones
comes from Texas. Before 2000, they were starting one or two new
churches each year, but then decided to become more intentional about
starting new churches. They appointed a coordinator for the new church
plants. In 2002 they started 16 new churches, and in 2003 they started
22, and in 2004 another 23 new churches
