Club Adventist

Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

Gail, am I right on that?

Beryl, I have no plans to alter anything concerning the other study fora you have. As long as they are active, they will be open!

This earth is our kingdom -- created for us, and at the end of the millenium, we will possess the re-created earth -- and this time God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit will all come to live with us on this earth -- after all, Jesus IS a member of the earthly family, and He won the victory over Satan, and the kingdom is His!

Ok, now I understand. For some reason I was having a hard time with this. What you are saying is that this earth is what was created for us and that it will be restored someday. You are also saying that what Jesus is preparing for us now is a place to live in His City and when that comes to this earth at the end of the 1,000 years we will live on this earth and in the New Jerusalem. Thanks!

When I look at photos like the one below it makes me think of being able to travel to each and every planet in this and every galaxy. The problem is that each galaxy has billions and trillions of suns, many of which may have several planets orbiting them. If only 1% of these trillions of suns have inhabited planets (and there are trillions of galaxies out there) can you imagine how long it will take to visit each one of these inhabited planets, even if for only an hour?

Good thing we will have an eternity. I plan on staying for awhile on each planet.

Thanks,
Dan

"Good thing we will have an eternity. I plan on staying for awhile on each planet."

Well, you will have plenty of time! You will have a whole eternity ahead of you!! It is beyond our understanding at this stage of our existence.

Quote:
A beautiful heavenly home is ready for the redeemed. "Will you gain anything if you win the whole world but lose your life?" (Matthew 16:26). A person may be poor now, but in the gift of eternal life he owns greater wealth than the world can ever give. A person redeemed by Jesus, made clean from all sin, and serving God is of more value than the whole world. There is joy in heaven before God over every person that is redeemed. This joy makes the heavenly angels sing holy songs of victory.

What a wonderful day! The music! The brightness! The glorious crown that we will be given! WE will be treated as royalty, when WE are amongst those who caused so much pain in heaven!

Our wonderful God, and Jesus -- our Saviour. The magnitude of what You have done for us is beyond our comprehension. We are all sinful people, but You have offered to us full redemption just by accepting Your sacrifice for us, and allowing You to take charge of our lives. Dear Lord, we want to do just that today. Please take charge. And please show us what You want us to do in our lives -- not to earn salvation -- it has already been paid for -- but to tell others of what You did for them. Amen.

there are different views regarding this and i dont wish to get into a dispute, nor start one, but the more i have studied what sin is, and then came across jones statement (highly paraphrased) that once God gets to the bottom then there is no more to confess.

i have come more and more to wonder what being "sinless" would be like. what having no desire to sin would be like. i also now understand better that sin is bondage, it is slavery.

i feel that so much when i want to respond in a different manner than i do, and do quite well when not actually engaged with a person :), just to find myself responding "naturally" over and over again.

this is a very nice forum which, by the grace of God, i will spend more time in. rollingsmile

Hi, Teresa! I am glad that you have enjoyed "Steps to Jesus". I would like to invite you to come across now to our new one where we are studying "Christ's Object Lessons". Just at the moment it is going a bit slow, because I have a little problem to sort out, but hopefully we will be in full swing again shortly.

God bless,

Beryl
