When you have come to the place where I'm all you have left, you'll find that I'm all you need. "Only as we see our utter helplessness and renounce all self-trust, shall we lay hold on divine power." [This message has been edited by judygirl (edited June 28, 2000).]

a BIG amen, judygirl! Kinda reminds me of a quote that talks of the limitless power we have-in Christ! Check it out!(Awesomelly powerful!) "There is no limit to the usefulness of one who, putting self aside, makes room for the working of the Holy Spirit upon his heart, and lives a life wholly consecrated to God. ALL who consecrate body, soul, and spirit to his service will be constantly receiving a new endowment of physical, mental, and spiritual power. The INEXHAUSTIBLE supplies of heaven are at their command. Christ gives them the breath of His own Spirit, the life of His own life. The Holy Spirit puts forth its highest energies to work in mind and heart. Through the grace given us we may acheive victories that because of our own erroneous and preconceived opinions, our defects of character, our smallness of faith have seemed impossible." !!! AMEN, Judy and Bob! It's too bad that people in the world don't realize that it is so much better to let go and let God! I feel so blessed with the Holy Spirit when I just let go of SELF! It isn't always easy for me, but with practice I'm getting much better at it! Thanks for sharing and reminding me! Doreen

Jesus, the all sufficient One: "To the death of Christ we owe even this earthly life. The bread we eat is the purchase of His broken body. The water we drink is bought by His spilled blood. Never one, saint or sinner, eats his daily food, but he is nourished by the body and the blood of Christ. The cross of Calvary is stamped on every loaf. It is reflected in every water spring." --Desire of Ages, p. 660.

"Jesus knows the circumstances of every soul. The greater the sinner's guilt, the more he needs the Saviour. His heart of divine love and sympathy is drawn out most of all for the one who is the most hopelessly entangled in the snares of the enemy. With His own blood He has signed the emancipation papers of the race." --The Ministry of Healing, p. 90.
