Or you could go fly a kite for world peace, your options are endless with the freedoms mortals enjoy, but then after the giddness has subsided for the day and you are shut in with 4 walls at night, your bible on you night stand still INSTRUCTS women to have long hair.

How long?

Gail you ask how long? Well this is not set in stone like most of my post on doctrine where one can be sure, so take it or leave it.
Womens hair should be much longer than mine, and it should be much, much longer than the worlds richest caveman.

ROTFLOL...Now that would be something to behold. All the menfolk in church in skirts
Beryl, your post just made my day! Thank you! What a mental image I will have tonight at prayer meeting!

As for the short hair long hair debate. I had long hair until this past October. I grow my hair to donate to Locks of Love. They make wigs for juvenile cancer patients. At present I AM growing my hair back, and in about 4 years, hope to have enough to whack off again and donate.

If anyone is interested, check out: Locks of Love

I think they need at least 10" of donated hair (more is welcome!)

Blessings

Im so glad I am a man. And being a man I dont have to stress about jewelry or hairlength or make-up or dye or cocktail dresses at church. And I dont wear and an adornment of fabric around my neck. Hopefully Ed White will welcome me in the church foyer! I look biblical in appearance...uh except for my pink mink fedora. 8:O)

I am always glad to meet/greet visitors of both genders in the church foyer, if it's been raining I will show them where to store their raincoat & head coverings to be returned to them on their departure. If they are visiting for the first time and have come expecting to see a skit concerning the actual occurrence of the two "men" that Lot invited to his home because of the wickedness of his home town. Surprise of all surprises Lot found out they were not men at all, but of heavenly origin that had a few jobs to preform. First job was to blind and entire crowd that kept pounding on Lot's door... Well, sorry this church is not doing that skit this week due to the pastor's accident. You see he failed to bring a flashlight in leading that trek up the mountain for sunrise services, instead the head elder will preach on Romans 1:22-32

I adore Romans almost as much as Psalms. Romans 2 should never be left out when sharing Romans 1.
I went to your websight and enjoyed your Subject matter.
you walk with Jesus slightly different from the norm. As do I.
God bless you. I have my eye on you. I look forward to more dialogue.

And regarding Lots visit. I found it interesting that you should mention that story(i hate that word in descibing actual events).

I read Genesis over and over again thru the years. Psalms and Mark and Luke are frequented also.
I am so moved by Abrahams and Jacob and Joseph stories. I can go on all day what God has revealed to me in their lives.

But let me touch a moment on Abraham flagging down three strangers. We truly serve a great compassionate God who came down to share and test Abraham. Abraham truly new what a God he serves to press the issue of 'how many rightouse'. To see God as not only Terrible Rightouse Majesty as well as Merciful and Gracious makes Abraham truly as a man of faith and obediance. I cant convey with my paltry words waht comes into my heart when i hear Abrahams and Lots story. What a God we serve.
All the people in the lost five cities never trusted and obeyed their rightouse Creator. That is a sobering lesson for all of us here.
God bless you for sharing.

Not sure of everything that’s on my website at present, but Brother I sure hope I got across the message of Matthew 5:18 "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God". To me that means one must be clean/pure in this life if we expect a life above, even more so than Ivory soap which claims is over 99% pure, but speaking of hair, I have found in women that I have known, the shorter their hair, the shorter their fuse in flying off the handle. And of course the bible teaches that "long hair on a man is a disgrace". Don’t you in your travels find it an amazing fact that grown men today still do not mind in being disgraceful?
Now Mrs. Grey’s hair is shoulder length, so there is an indication that her chain could be jerked/light the fuse and still one would have time to shower & shave before the lava would start flowing.

But didn't Jesus and Moses have long hair? It was the Romans that were known for their short haircuts...

Gail, Hollywood may have pictured Jesus & Moses having long hair but I doubt that Jesus or Moses would have violated a principle in the bible. Samson had long hair but this was the exception to the rule as his parents was instructed from a heavenly being. Long haired men should learn a lesson from one of David sons...cut your hair, especially when on horseback and riding near trees with low branches. I read of a man with long flowing hair that had the back wheels of his car jacked up and he crawled under to check a vibration and his hair got caught up in the turning drive shaft and it jerked his scalp off. I could think of many reasons why no, but whats wrong in doing it just as God said it? Clench fists against heavenly instruction will not get anyone one inch off this planet.
