I've long wanted to comment on Ed's little caption (above). I guess here may be as good a place as any. Ed, do you really mean to put that comma exactly where it is? If so, I believe it should be a semicolon.

Semi-colon? No way. I think it should read, "Condemnation--without investigation--will insure ignorance forever." Quite possibly, it could also be written as, "Condemnation, without investigation, will insure ignorance forever."

What I was commenting on is the way it is written, which I think is, um, interesting. In its current form it is a commentary on Ed - a description he may not want. Has anyone read it carefully? It is hilarious -- hilarious, I say.

The way you have changed it, Christine, is probably the way he would want it to be written. The way it is, I can't help but laugh every time I see it, all alone over here in my corner. Yes, I'm sane. Just have a weird funny bone, I guess.
