Judges 16:4- "Some time later, he fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah"
Historically, Delilah was known as a woman in the Old Testament who was a mistress of Samson.
She betrayed him to the Philistines by having his hair shorn while he slept, thus depriving him of his strength.
Her name has become synonymous with female betrayal by sexual means.

We just had a case here in BC where a principal of a school had 5 lovers (plus his estranged wife)
One of the lovers one day took a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the groin, thus killing him
When I saw the headlines, without much detail other than "murder" and "5 lovers" I guessed the situation correctly
I felt like saying, "AHA! The jig is up!"
Crimes of passion are not new, and we haven't seen the last of them yet, I believe

And that's why God hates adultery! Nothing good comes from it.... Cheating on your marriage partner is like putting a knife in his/her back. Some can't stand the humiliation and fight back. It's a vicious circle....
