Club Adventist

Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

I got a call at 6am this morning from my husband. My mother in law was taken into the hospital Sabbath evening with severe pain. She has been diagnosed with cancer of the spleen and stomach. A week ago she was into the hospital for the same pain plus no appitite and nausia. At that point the doc said it was probably a virus complicated by all the "natural" remedies she takes. They did blood work and some other tests that are normally done and sent home. The results had just come back and she was told to return to her doc after the holidays. But the pain was too much and she was taken to the hospital. The in laws live in a very small town in Oregon and its about a 90 min drive to the good hospital. Thankfully one of her daughters and family live in that city. The husband drove over this AM after talking to me. This lady has always been very loving and supportive to me during my marriage to my husband and I love her very much. Please pray for Gods will and to ease her pain.

I will pray for her and for you Amelia. I know too that the breakdown in communication between 2 people does not affect the love you have for related others. It is good you have brought your mother-in-law's serious problem here. I will pray for peace for her, and relief as God sees fit.

Amelia, I will certainly keep her in my prayers. Your love and relationship with an ex's family is not based on the reasons you loved your spouse ...

Please keep us informed on her progress.

I heard from the STBE this morning and MIL is still in the hospital. She is having either an MRI or CAT (he couldnt remember which is was) today and should know the results by tomorrow. He said that she has lost about half her weight and was very fragile. The consensus is that the cancer is inopperable. I have two SIL's in bend and they are making room for FIL and others who will be coming and going through this period. I really wish I could go visit also but that wont be allowed. So I would like everyone to pray with me for Gods will be done and let it be done quickly. Also please pray for my husband as he is having a hard time with his mothers situation and the fact that he cant be there all the time. He is the eldest and has always been very close to his mother.
