GENERAL CONFERENCE REPORT #2
REPORTS ― Sabbath evening two division reports were given by the presidents of the Trans-European and the North American Divisions. The NAD report, presented by our President Don Schneider, was a very spiritual and moving presentation, and was largely on his favorite topic, Jesus Christ, and calling people to Jesus and His grace. It was accompanied by special music selections by the Heritage Singers, and background piano accompaniment by Stephanie Kinsey, communication director for the Northern California Conference.

http://news.adventist.org/speials/2005/gcsession/reports/index.html. OFFERINGS ― The Sabbath school offering totaled "US$30,763.06. The "Hope for Big Cities Offering," taken during the worship service is still being counted.
HONORS AND RECOGNITION were given to couples who suffered through imprisonment for their faith. David Lin spent 20 years, and Mikhail Kulakov spent 5 years in prison while their wives struggled to maintain their families and were also persecuted for their faith. The family of Australian missionary Lance Gersbach, who was murdered while serving in the Solomon Islands in 2003. The crowd was moved to standing ovations.
STATEMENTS AND FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS ― The "Resolution on the Holy Bible" was discussed and approved on Friday, July 1. The "Resolution on the Spirit of Prophecy was approved today.

A "Protocol Statement on Additions or Revisions to the Statement of Fundamental Beliefs" about the proper way to add or revise Statements of Fundamental Beliefs was discussed and approved.
A NEW 28TH FUNDAMENTAL BELIEF, "GROWING IN CHRIST," voted and approved at Annual Council, and now brought to the General Conference Session, was read and discussed at length. The purpose of the statement is not to establish new doctrine, but to clarify for people coming from non-Christian backgrounds, particularly from pagan religions, our standing that Jesus' victory over Satan gives us victory over evil forces, and that we have new freedom in Christ. The topic was tabled in order to take the report of the Nominating Committee.
ELECTIONS― General Vice Presidents for the General Conference and division presidents were elected by the nominating committee and division caucuses, and approved by the body of delegates as follows:
