Today the delegates voted in the General Conference departmental leaders and three new position statements. Delegates are being very conscientious in the use of their voting power and discussion privileges. Sometimes much discussion takes place over the use of a particular word or term in order to avoid a misunderstanding of or offending a particular culture or nationality

New Fundamental Belief Being Reconsidered ? It was voted to reconsider the new fundamental belief, "Growing in Christ," as worded and voted yesterday, and to refer it to the committee to reword it so as to be more sensitive to various cultures, and bring it back to the body of delegates.
Three New Statements Approved ? "On Being Transformed in Christ ? An Affirmation of Christian Values and Quality of Life;" "Respect for All People ? Making Churches and Community Safe;" and "Religious Extremism ? A Danger to Religious Liberty."
