- RESOURCES -

** THE ASI INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION MAY BE OVER but the results will
live on and grow, not only in Sacramento, where the three-day convention
was held, August 3-6, but in many other parts of the world. Their
theme, "Christ's Power, Our Hands," was carried out in their 20
seminars as well as their actions.

Children and youth conducted a car wash benefit for the homeless
and spent a morning at Amazing Facts collating Bible lessons. "Youth
for Jesus" evangelism efforts in the Sacramento area brought more than
30 baptisms. More than 50 are continuing to prepare for baptism, and
individuals in a new group of 20-30 have just begun to study.

More than US$2 million was donated for the Sabbath offering
which will support 40 projects. The overflow was designated for a joint
project of It Is Written and Maranatha Volunteers International for
"Impact India 2006," sharing the gospel with 50 villages,
culminating with a central evangelism effort with It Is Written
Speaker/Director Shawn Boonstra in January 2006.

** "THE APPEARING," September 23-27, with Shawn Boonstra - Designed
to draw more people to NET 2006. Registration is going on now, and so
far, 772 sites have registered, and at least 10 of them are
non-Adventist sites. Registered sites are listed at the website for

Color Press's deadline to order brochures and receive mailing services
to your ZIP codes. There is still time to order a dish and get set up in
time for the series.

** ANOTHER PLANE CRASH - Alaska Conference Secretary Jim Kincaid walked
away from a plane crash near Sinton, Texas, Thursday, August 4. He was
taking the plane up to test some repairs in preparation for taking it to
Alaska when it lost power. He received 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his
hands, forearms, and calves and is receiving treatment in the burn unit
of a hospital in Portland, Oregon.

** "DISNEY'S 2005 TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD" was won by David
Vixie, 8th grade teacher at Paradise Adventist Academy. He was chosen
