1. Rob Lang, Youth Director for the Georgia-Cumberland Conference,
has declined the call to the General Conference Youth Department.

2. As reported in the last "From the Desk. . . .," the
Women's Ministries Department of the Ontario Conference is
launching "Women's Evangelism Explosion 2006" (WEE 2006). The
primary purposes are to encourage evangelism as a lifestyle and unite
all churches, that are willing to participate, in a common evangelistic
thrust. Hands-on training programs will be held in five regions of the
conference. On Sabbath, January 28, 2006, the initiative will be
launched with local women giving the sermon for the Divine service.
Evangelistic series', in collaboration with Global Evangelism, in
churches throughout Ontario, presented by local women in late Spring or
Fall 2006.

3. Neil Biloff, Ministerial and Evangelism Director for the Alaska
Conference, has accepted a call to be president of the Dakota
Conference.

4. Edward Barron, father of Carol Barron, Administrative Assistance
for NAD Family Ministries, and Elder Dick Barron, retired G.C. Youth
Director, has passed away at the age of 100. Mr. Barron would have
celebrated his 101st birthday Thanksgiving weekend. Services were
Wednesday, November 9, 2005, in Avon Park, Florida.

5. Former vice president of the General Conference, Elder R.R.
Bietz, father of Dr. Gordon Bietz, president of Southern Adventist
University, passed away on November 6, 2005. Services will be in
Portland, Oregon, on November 19, 2005.

6. Lonnie Melashenko with the Voice of Prophecy team is conducting
meetings in Bismark, North Dakota, and working with about 300 people.

7. I was in Moscow, attending the Year End Meetings of the Euro
Asia Division. The miracles reported are many and the challenges are
many. One challenge: a translation has been made of Patriarchs and
Prophets in a new language in a Moslem area. All that is needed now is
$5000 to pay for the first printing. If you or someone you know would
like to provide this amount, a new people group will have the
opportunity to read a portion of this message.

8. Atlantic Union College is no longer on the probationary status
list with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. AUC is
now operating under full accreditation.

9. Tom Werner, president of Adventist Health System since 1999, has
announced that he will retire on January 1, 2007.
