Please pray for the family of baby Lucas. He was mebbe 7 months old. He and his family lived with his maternal grandparents and this morning his Granny Donna went in to check on him and found him. I can't imagine what this poor family is going thru right now.

Also keep his Auntie Amy in your prayers. She is in the final weeks of her 1st. pregnancy and I have no doubt this will be quite a strain on her.

Please just pray for strength/courage for the Nicholas/Hinkle families.

Oh puddles.

I am so sorry. I have prayed, and will continue to pray that Abba will honor His promise to draw near to the broken hearted.

Thanks everyone for your prayers. I went to visit with my friends this evening. They are doing well considering things. They showed photo's of baby Lucas and just kept saying how healthy he was and that they just can't believe he's gone.

Apparently his daddy had checked on him enroute to the bathroom at 2am and he was fine. Doug (daddy) was up at 4am for something and that is when he discovered little Lucas wasn't breathing. Kim and Doug (parents) are still very much in shock over this. They both just had this vacant expression on their faces. It just broke my heart.

His services will be this coming Sabbath afternoon.

I ask about Auntie Amy and was told that she will not be able to attend his services. Thankfully her MIL had come to stay with her until after her baby is born so she was not alone when she received the news about little Lucas. Grandma Donna (my friend) ask specifically that we keep her in prayer. Amy's husband is in the military and at present is out on maneuvers and doesn't even know about little Lucas yet apparently. I am planning on calling Amy in the morning to check on her. She is one of "my" kids from when I taught Sabbath School.

Also, please remember Lucas's big sister Taylor. She is 7 and from what I was told tonight, is blaming herself for little Lucas's death. She told her grandmother that why couldn't God have taken her and left him. My heart has been so heavy for this precious little girl. Taylor is a miracle in her own right. She was born 4 months premature and was barely over 1 lb at birth. Our church has never prayed so hard as we did for little Taylor. What her grandmother commented was here Taylor started life in such danger and has turned out so well and here was little Lucas that was healthy and lived exactly 6 months to the day. He died on his 6 month birthday.

Please continue to pray for the Nicholas/Hinkle/Messenger families.
