** HOSPICE TELECONFERENCE 2006 - Hospice is an increasingly vital area
of ministry. "Pain Management at the End of Life: Bridging the Gap
Between Knowledge and Practice," is the Hospice Foundation of
America's 13th Annual National Award-Winning Teleconference, and
they are using ACN to uplink it across North America, Wednesday, April
5, 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT. It will provide an excellent opportunity
to invite community members and local health professionals to the
Adventist church.

It will examine the gap between knowledge and application of
effective pain control in terminal patients, including pharmaceutical,
psycho-social, spiritual, and complementary aspects of pain management.
It will highlight cutting-edge knowledge and methodology in an attempt
to bring the hospice approach to pain management to a broad clinical
audience. The program will look at laws and regulations and examine ways
that health care workers and the general public can work together to
improve pain management.

** SABBATH SCHOOL UNIVERSITY (SSU), the 30-minute weekly satellite
broadcast produced cooperatively between the General Conference Sabbath
School Department and the Hope Channel, is now available for the first
time in downloadable audio and video formats on the Internet. Each
program, featuring Australian Pastor Casey Wolverton as host and
moderator, features four international young adults interacting with the
topic for the week's Sabbath school lesson and offering innovative
approaches for exploring the topic.
