Very obscure, but I think it might be Jethro Tull's 'Seal Driver'. Maybe I'll quote the lyrics here to give you some idea, but you have to hear his voice, which fits it perfectly, and the music to really 'get' what's going on with it. It just evokes a mood and a mental image so nicely: Take you away for my magic ship. I have two hundred deisel horses thundering loud. Sea birds call your name and the mountain's on fire as the summer lightening cuts the sky like a hot wire. And you ride on the swell and your heart is alive, think I'll make you my seal driver.
I'm no great looker, I'm no fast shakes. I'll give you a steady push on a six knot simmering high tide. I can hold us down - keep our head to the wind, or let us roll on the broadside, cold spray flying in, and we'll ride on the swell and our hearts are alive. Let me make you my seal driver.
I could captain you if you'd crew for me follow white flecked spindrift - float on a moonkissed sea.
Could you fancy me as a pirate bold, or a longship Viking warrior with the old gods on his side? Well I'm an inshore man and I'm nobody's hero, but I'll make you tight for a windy night and a dark ride. Let me take you in hand and bring you alive. Going to make you my seal driver.I realised as I was about to go to bed that I had the mp3 version of this song on my computer, so here it is. I own the CD, but you don't, so you should listen to it online, or else download, listen and then delete to be fair to the band and record company.

Interesting in its application.

Thumbs up on Jethro Tull!
I've always liked "Landslide" by Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac)

I have too many to pick just one. And some are way secular!

Oh wow ... so many to pick from. A perennial favorite of mine is Great Hosannah by Kula Shaker. If we stand here together And we see the world as one We may think there's no future But it's the same for everyone It's like the world has lost its head And it's like all the prophets said But will we arise ... ... to a new world?
If we stand here together We can laugh at what we've done All our time has been wasted And there's nowhere left to run There may be trouble up ahead Will we be sleeping in our beds Or will we arise ... ... to a new world?
Look for signs and portents I'm looking for a reason To believe
Will we arise in our time At the dawn of another meaning? Will we awake at the break of a great hosannah? Well there's nothing left to do, Just hold your breath and hope it's true: That we'll arise ... Oh! To a new world!
Look for signs and portents Oh there's got to be a reason To believe ...
That we'll arise in our time At the dawn of another meaning, And we'll awake at the break of a great hosannah!
Well there's nothing left to do, Just hold your breath and hope it's true: That we'll arise ...
... To a new world ....

That's a great one - I think you introduced me to it a while ago.

Olger, I perceive that you are a fan of The Seekers! And not even an Australian citizen! Welcome to the forum. I love anything by the Seekers. A few years ago one of the churches around here held a karaoke night to raise money for ADRA. One of my friends decided to come along dressed as a sheep. I tried hard to convince her to get up with me and sing "I'll Never Find Another (Ewe)," but she just wasn't game enough. aldona
